Cialis (tadalafil) can be recommended by your health care provider if you have erectile dysfunction and need some help with getting a normal erection that would allow having sex and completing sexual intercourse. Alcohol has been reported to worsen side effects of Cialis and should therefore be excluded when you are taking this medicine. Tell your doctor if you have pre-existing eye problems, high blood pressure, smoking, heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, or are over 50 years old, as those may be the risk factors of a rare but serious side effect – sudden vision loss. Your doctor will need to know if the mild side effects you may develop at the beginning of your treatment – such as flushing, headache, indigestion or heartburn, pain in the stomach, cough, muscle pain, or diarrhea, change in intensity or interfere with your everyday life. Do not take Cialis if you are also using any nitrate based meds. Report to your doctor the fact of taking any other meds – as some can cause interactions with Cialis. Tell your doctor if you are using imatinib, antidepressants, heart or blood pressure medications, doxazosin, diclofenac, rifampin, isoniazid, seizure medications, antifungal medications, HIV/AIDS medicine, conivaptan, or antibiotics.
